FED : Fiber Eccentricity Display
For standard coated fiber eccentricity visual control
The light propagation through the standard telecom optical fiber shows the eccentricity of the glass inside the coating, with a high sensitivity.
The FED show the asymmetry of the diffraction pattern on the cylindrical
screen on two perpendicular laser axes.
