For the coated fiber eccentricity measurement
The
light propagation through the standard telecom optical fibre shows the asymmetry
of the coating assembly around the glass with a very high sensitivity
The FEM is used in case of spinning.
The independency of the layer eccentricities and index sensitivities to the temperature, do not allows measuring the eccentricities on 2 coating layers at once
