LIS-C : Laser Interferometric Sensor for Coating
For on line measurement and qualifying
of coatings
The interferometric instruments are ideally suited for diameter, eccentricity measurement and flaw detection of optical fibres coatings on high speed draw towers. The LIS-C works with the CERSA-MCI’s CIM PC software.
This instrument offers the following features :

- Diameter and eccentricity measurement on nominal diameter.
- Detection of external defects: lumps, necks, scratches
- Detection of internal defects: glass airline and coating bubbles, delaminations,
inclusions.

- Fiber feed pulse counting for length and speed computing.
