Ξ CERSA-MCI History
Jean-François FARDEAU who holds 90% of the shares set up CERSA in the south of France in 1980.
At first, the company is turned to automation and measurement engineering to mainly handle specific and complex applications from public and private French key companies of Aeronautic, Armament, Nuclear industries…
In order to answer to turn key projects, our company always uses a global approach of customer’s needs, offering services from conception to commissioning of complex systems.
In 1989, we started a dimensional metrology instrument production, mainly for in line wire and optical fibre diameter measurement. The metrology turn to our main activity since 1998, and today 80% of our turnover, with 95% of our production exported to all continents. Our Measure and Control Instrument (MCI) division becomes the most important part of CERSA activities. CERSA-MCI becomes the generic name for our whole worldwide metrology activities.
The industry over the world is characterized by strong interdependence of companies in a large variety of activities and sizes, highly specialized and skilled, whose organisation and product quality are fundamental. The strong economy and technology changes, the permanent natural selection, even thought the inertia to changes, will not have mercy of any one’s that relaxes their attention in quality, innovation and economic performance.
In this context, we continuously maintain our scientific and technologic culture at the top level, looking at the best technologic choice to answer the general expressed needs of the industrials in metrology, or quality control. This policy results in numerous innovations and close relations with our customers and sub-contractors.
Our representation network covers today almost the whole world, with persons able to assist our customer, to start and maintain our instruments.
End 2005, to fulfil an important growth of our activities in Asia, a representation office was started in Shanghai.
In 2007, our world turn over is share for 65% in the whole Asia, 25% in
Europe…..
Ξ Prospects
CERSA-MCI pursues an intense R&D activity in cooperation with fiber optic, wires and cables industries. The objective is to extend our product line for these industries in order to fulfill most of their metrological and quality control needs in production around 2008.
In order to establish its position on the world market and to insure its products promotion, CERSA-MCI is developing a consistent representative network and is planning to set up local production and maintenance units, for representatives support and closer customers assistance.
We are today pushing our marketing to American continent, Middle east and CIS areas with extended offers.
