Since 1980, CERSA has developed special measuring instruments and systems for a large field of applications, using optical phenomenon, (interferometry, diffraction) or ultrasonic phenomenon (resonance, interferometry).

Since 1989, we started to produce and to market our own standard measuring instruments and components. Then, CERSA has marked its different fields of activities with significant innovations, in particular for in line metrology :

1987 first very fine wires diameter measurement instruments by laser diffraction. (Premiere international) Première internationale).
1994 liquid density measurement by ultrasonic interferometry. (Premiere international)
1996 First interferometric instruments for optical fibres in line diameter absolute measurement. (International patent).
1999 à 2005 Large extension of our offer for optical fibre very high performance instruments and also for cable applications.
2007 First introduction of our “Surface Quality Measurement” instrument (SQM) international patent, for wires, optical fibres and cables.

These instruments are especially dedicated to the optical fibre, Fine Wires and more recently to Cable and plastic extrusion and metal rods production industries.

The SQM (Surface Quality Measurement) is a true technology revolution in surface quality and defect check in wires, optical fibre and cables, for in line applications.

To answer specific demands, we use to adapt our technologies according to the customer needs.

We also made a system of high speed cameras in network to measure dimensions, shapes or detect surface defects for specific applications.
