Optical fibers
This is one of our key activities. We maintain intense R&D programs for new technologies, instrument improvements and new instruments, in close cooperation with our customers.
Our equipments benefit an important technological advance for metrology and defect detection of optical fibers on production towers. They meet the increasing performance of the drawing towers speeds.
The interferometric instruments allow to fully qualify in line the whole production within the specifications. This instrument line is used world wide in many factories.

LIS-C, 2axes: Laser Interferometric Sensor for Coating (Still under development)
- Diameter and eccentricity measurement.
- High speed, high resolution diameter changes (lump, neck) and eccentricity
measurement.
- Glass airline and coating bubbles, delaminations and inclusions detection.
FEM: Fiber Eccentricity Measurement: FEM.
- Electronic check of the coating asymmetry referring to
the glass.
